'Seascape with Full Moon'
This tranquil scene depicts a view of boats on the sea, under a full moon in the night sky, which reflects a shimmering light on the surface of the water, all bathed in a blue and green hue. It is a simple, yet beautiful design with rich color and fine bokashi shading on the water. This surimono (small) print was first produced c1930 by Watanabe Publishers. Hasui produced a number of excellent images for the tourist trade, one prettier than the next. This edition is authenticated by Hasui's seal in the lower left of the print. The print, matted in ivory on a black mat, has a sight size of 5.75" x 3.75", and the simple black frame measures 13" x 9".  It is in excellent original condition.                   P0541             $325.00
